Dr. Erickson’s goal is to get his patients back on the playing field or back to the activities they enjoy by utilizing the most advanced treatment options. While Dr. Erickson treats athletes of all levels from high school to professional, he also specializes in non athletic injuries of the shoulder, elbow and knee.
Dr. Erickson is a board certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in sports related injuries of both athletes and non-athletes alike. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL followed by a Sports Medicine fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, NY. During his fellowship, Dr. Erickson served as one of the assistant team physicians for the New York Mets.

Although many of these tears occur in professional (minor and major league) baseball pitchers, there has been a dramatic rise in UCL injuries in adolescents, at a rate of 9% per year.
